What to Expect at Your First Assisted Stretch Session
First time booking an assisted stretch session? Here is a walkthrough of the visit, from the phone call that books it to the last stretch on the table.

Before you book
Every new stretch client starts with a 20-minute evaluation for $30. Kyle, the stretch therapist, uses that visit to see how you move, identify where you feel tight, and discuss whether ongoing stretch therapy fits your goals.
Stretch appointments are made by phone. Call (858) 279-7300 to schedule the evaluation and mention any injuries, surgeries, or sensitive areas before your visit.
What to wear and bring
- Wear athletic clothes that let you move freely, such as leggings, shorts, joggers, a T-shirt, or a tank top.
- Avoid belts, zippers, or stiff clothing around your waist and legs.
- Bring water and a short list of past injuries or surgeries.
- You remain in your workout clothes for the full visit.
What happens during the evaluation
After check-in, Kyle may ask you to reach, turn your shoulders, or shift your weight so he can observe how you move. During the hands-on portion, he positions your arms, legs, or hips and holds stretches near the edge of your comfortable range.
Breathe, relax the area being stretched, and speak up if a stretch feels sharp rather than tight. A strong pull can be expected; sharp pain is not the goal.
